Product Name Bacterial and Fungal Total RNA Extraction Kit
Catalog No. DREK-0105
Description A two-reagent extraction system optimized for prokaryotic and fungal samples. A pretreatment reagent suppresses endogenous RNases and denatures proteins before strong phenol/guanidinium lysis and RNA recovery.
Intended Use Total RNA isolation from bacteria and compatible fungi for qPCR, RT-PCR, Northern blotting and related molecular assays.
Principle / Technology RNase-suppressing pretreatment followed by phenol/guanidinium lysis, phase separation and alcohol precipitation of RNA.
Detection Method Downstream RNA analysis.
Sample Type Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, yeast and other non-spore-forming fungi.
Performance Range / Specifications Optimized for bacterial and fungal RNA extraction without lysozyme treatment or ultrasonic disruption; 100 reactions.
Specificity Pretreatment and strong lysis chemistry improve RNA yield and purity from microbial cell walls while protecting RNA integrity.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Treat the microbial pellet with the pretreatment reagent, add the total RNA extraction reagent, perform phase separation, precipitate, wash and dissolve RNA.
Components / Formulation Microbial RNA pretreatment reagent and phenol/guanidinium total RNA extraction reagent.
Package Specifications 100 reactions.
Product Form Two-component microbial total RNA extraction kit.
Quality Control RNA yield, purity and integrity are evaluated using representative Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Key Features Optimized for bacteria and fungi; no lysozyme or sonication required; improved RNA yield and purity; simple workflow.
Compatibility qPCR, RT-PCR, Northern blotting and related RNA-analysis workflows.
Application Notes / Precautions Use RNase-free technique and apply the pretreatment uniformly to the microbial pellet before lysis.
Batch-to-Batch Consistency Microbial RNA yield and integrity are controlled across production batches.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
