Product Name Automated 96-Well Plate DNA Extraction Kit
Catalog No. DREK-0020
Description A high-throughput magnetic bead-based genomic DNA extraction kit pre-configured for automated 96-well plate processing on open-deck liquid handling platforms. The reagent kit includes pre-aliquoted 96-well deep-well plates prefilled with precisely measured reagents, magnetic bead suspensions in optimized dispensing bottles, and plate-compatible elution strips. The chemistry is validated for consistent DNA yield and purity across all 96 wells, enabling parallel processing of large sample cohorts for biobanking, population genomics, and high-throughput genotyping.
Intended Use Automated high-throughput extraction of genomic DNA from whole blood, buffy coat, cultured cells, and tissue homogenates in a 96-well format for large-scale genotyping, GWAS studies, biobanking, and high-throughput sequencing projects.
Principle / Technology Samples are loaded into a 96-well deep-well processing plate containing lysis/binding buffer and proteinase K. The plate is incubated with orbital shaking on the liquid handler deck. Magnetic silica beads are dispensed, and DNA binds under high-salt conditions. The liquid handler performs magnetic separation, aspirates supernatant, and executes a series of ethanol-based wash steps. After final drying, elution buffer is added and purified DNA is collected in a 96-well elution plate. All steps are programmable and require no user intervention after setup.
Detection Method UV spectrophotometry via plate reader; fluorometric quantitation (96-well plate format); agarose gel electrophoresis for representative wells; qPCR for yield uniformity assessment across plate; NGS library quality metrics for validation plates
Sample Type Human whole blood (EDTA or citrate anticoagulated, up to 400 µL per well), buffy coat, cultured mammalian cells, tissue homogenates (pre-prepared); samples must be in single-cell suspension or homogeneous lysate before loading
