Product Name Alpha-Fetoprotein/Carcinoembryonic Antigen Assay Reagent, Fluorescence Flow Cytometry
Catalog No. TMTR-HMM-0031
Description Elevated levels of alpha-fetoprotein in serum can be observed in certain malignant diseases, especially in non-seminoma testicular cancer and primary cell liver cancer. Research has found that over 70% of patients with primary liver cancer have relatively high levels of AFP in their serum. A continuous increase in carcinoembryonic antigen may be associated with progressive malignant diseases and poor treatment response, while a decrease is usually associated with a better prognosis and good treatment response. Studies have found the clinical relevance of CEA detection in the follow-up treatment of patients with colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer. Follow-up studies on patients with colorectal cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer have shown that preoperative CEA levels have prognostic significance.
Application This product is used for the combined detection of two tumor markers, AFP and CEA, to assist in the clinical diagnosis of liver cancer.
