| Product Name | α-Fetoprotein (AFP) Assay Reagent, Latex Enhanced Immunoturbidmetric |
| Catalog No. | TMTR-HMM-0026 |
| Description | Under certain pathological conditions, such as hepatocellular carcinoma or germ cell tumors, the serum AFP level may increase. Therefore, AFP is widely used as a biomarker for cancer and for the assessment of cancer treatment. |
| Application | This product uses latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetry to determine the concentration of alpha-fetoprotein in serum or plasma. |
| Test Item | AFP |
| Specimen Type | Serum/Plasma |
| Sample Capacity | 7 μL |
| Detection Range | 500 ng/mL |
| Detection Method | Latex Enhanced Immunoturbidmetric |
| Detection Principle | Alpha-fetoprotein detection is based on latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetry. The alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in the sample binds to the specific anti-AFP antibody coated on the latex particles and undergoes a agglutination reaction. The turbidity produced by the coagulation reaction can be measured by optical methods and is directly proportional to the content of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in the sample. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
