| Product Name | 6-Pathogen Respiratory Virus Nucleic Acid Detection Reagent (TaqMan qPCR) |
| Catalog No. | NATR-HMM-0034 |
| Description | Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are one of the most common diseases, with adolescents and adults typically contracting 2–4 infections per year and children contracting 6–8 infections per year. Clinically, RTIs are classified into upper respiratory tract infections and lower respiratory tract infections based on the infected site. Upper respiratory tract infections are common acute respiratory diseases typically associated with acute inflammation of the nasal cavity, pharynx, or larynx. While a small proportion are bacterial infections, the majority are viral infections. Lower respiratory tract infections include tracheitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Among children, viruses account for up to 61.4% of pathogens causing lower respiratory tract infections, and viruses also constitute a significant proportion (15–34.9%) of pathogens in community-acquired pneumonia in adults. |
| Application | This product can identify six respiratory infection pathogens in a single test, assisting clinicians in efficient differential diagnosis and treatment plan formulation. |
