| Product Name | 48/192-Test Fluorescent RNase Contamination Assay Kit |
| Catalog No. | NATR-HMM-0215 |
| Description | Alta DiagnoTech fluorescent RNase assay kit is designed to evaluate RNase contamination in laboratory samples. |
| Intended Use | For detecting RNase contamination in samples. |
| Detection Method | Fluorescence measurement using VIC or HEX detection |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | When using a compatible qPCR instrument, run 30 cycles at 37°C for 1 minute with fluorescence acquisition in the VIC or HEX channel using a 100 µL reaction. Use raw fluorescence data with cycle 1 as RFU0 and cycle 30 as RFU30. |
| Components / Formulation | RNA probe solution and RNase standard. |
| Shelf Life | 12 months unopened; 6 months after opening. |
| Package Specifications | Available in 48- and 192-test formats. |
| Product Form | Fluorescent nuclease assay kit |
| Activity / Unit Definition | One RNase A unit produces an absorbance increase of 1.0 at 260 nm with yeast RNA at pH 5.0 and 37°C; 50 RNase A units equal one Kunitz unit. |
| Compatibility | Compatible with fluorescence microplate readers and qPCR instruments equipped with a VIC or HEX channel. |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Aliquot the probe solution according to single-use volume, protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Add samples promptly, mix all reagents thoroughly, dispense to the bottom of wells and avoid splashing or bubbles. Instrument gain should be optimized before first use. |
| Alias | RNase assay kit (fluorescence) |
| Product Type | RNase contamination detection reagent |
| Function / Efficacy | Detects RNase activity as an indicator of sample contamination. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
