Description Alta DiagnoTech 300 nm superparamagnetic beads carry covalently immobilized streptavidin for rapid capture and magnetic isolation of biotinylated ligands.
Intended Use Capture of biotinylated antibodies, nucleic acids, proteins and other ligands in manual or automated workflows.
Principle / Technology High-affinity streptavidin-biotin binding with an association constant of approximately 10^-15.

Performance Range / Specifications The 300 nm format binds approximately 450 pmol/mg of a 24-nt biotinylated oligonucleotide and 15 µg/mg of biotinylated IgG. The same series comparison lists 1, 2 and 5 µm formats at 500, 400 and 400 pmol/mg oligonucleotide; 20, 20 and 15 µg/mg IgG; and 1,100, 1,000 and 800 pmol/mg free biotin, respectively.
Sensitivity / LOD Application examples detect biotinylated IgG at 6.25 ng/mL and biotinylated DNA probe at 6.25 fmol/mL.
