Product Name Whole Blood Stabilizing Diluent for Flow Cytometry
Catalog No. ATRD-0015
Description A specially formulated diluent with fixative properties for the dilution and short-term stabilization of whole blood specimens prior to immunophenotyping by flow cytometry, preserving surface antigen expression.
Intended Use Diluting whole blood for direct immunofluorescence staining in lymphocyte subset enumeration, leukemia/lymphoma immunophenotyping, and CD4/CD8 monitoring in clinical flow cytometry laboratories.
Principle / Technology Paraformaldehyde at low concentration partially cross-links surface proteins to stabilize antigen expression; sodium azide inhibits microbial growth and metabolic activity; BSA blocks Fc receptor binding.
Detection Method Flow cytometric antigen expression comparison pre and post 24-hour storage, forward/side scatter gating stability
Sample Type EDTA or heparin anticoagulated whole blood
Performance Range / Specifications Antigen expression MFI shift <10% after 24 hours at 4°C
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity N/A
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dilute whole blood 1:2 to 1:10; mix gently with antibody cocktail; incubate per protocol; lyse RBCs before acquisition.
Components / Formulation PBS pH 7.4, BSA 1%, sodium azide 0.1%, paraformaldehyde 0.5%, EDTA 2 mM
