Product Name Western Blot Primary Antibody Diluent, Protein-Free Formulation
Catalog No. ATRD-0022
Description Protein-free, synthetic polymer-based antibody diluent eliminating antibody cross-reactivity with blocking proteins. Chemically defined environment reduces non-specific bands and is ideal for phospho-specific antibodies where milk-derived phosphatases may compromise results. Compatible with chemiluminescent and fluorescent detection systems.
Intended Use Primary antibody dilution for Western blot and ELISA; phospho-specific antibody applications; biotin-streptavidin detection; quantitative immunoblotting where reproducibility is critical.
Principle / Technology Synthetic polymer matrix mimics molecular crowding; non-ionic surfactants reduce hydrophobic non-specific binding; preservative-free for sensitive detection
Detection Method Dilute primary antibody to desired concentration; incubate with membrane 1-2 hr at RT or overnight at 4 °C
Components / Formulation Synthetic PVP-based polymer, non-ionic surfactant blend, Tris-buffered saline (pH 7.4), EDTA (0.5 mM), azide-free preservative
Storage Conditions 2-8 °C; do not freeze; protect from light
Shelf Life 24 months; 12 months after opening
Package Specifications 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL HDPE bottles
Product Form Clear pale yellow liquid, ready-to-use
Key Features Protein-free — no antibody cross-reactivity with blocking proteins; superior for phospho-specific antibodies; chemically defined; low background with chemiluminescent and fluorescent detection; azide-free for HRP
Purity No detectable protein by BCA (<5 µg/mL); protease and phosphatase tested free
Concentration Ready-to-use; no dilution required
Activity / Unit Definition Dilution linearity R² ≥0.99 across specified range
Molecular Weight Not applicable — buffered protein solution
Source / Origin Bovine serum albumin, casein, and synthetic buffer components
pH Range / Optimal pH pH 7.4 ± 0.1 at 25 °C
Shipping Conditions Ambient; protect from freezing
Expiration Date / Stability 24 months at 2-8 °C; 12 months after opening
Regulatory / Compliance For laboratory and research use only; RUO; animal component-free; ISO 9001
Compatibility Compatible with ELISA, CLIA, and immunoturbidimetric assay platforms
Recommended Buffer System PBS-based with protein stabilizers and antimicrobial preservative
Application Notes / Precautions Bring to room temperature before use; avoid repeated freeze-thaw; use aseptic technique for opened bottles
Batch-to-Batch Consistency Dilution recovery 90–110% for reference analyte panel per lot
