| Description | After a Western Blot has been probed, developed and documented, the same membrane often needs to be examined for further targets with different primary antibodies, or an initial detection needs optimisation without repeating sample loading and transfer. This stripping solution removes the bound primary and secondary antibodies from PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes so the membrane can be reprobed, saving working time, conserving precious samples and eliminating errors introduced by reloading. The formulation works without beta-mercaptoethanol and additionally strips TSA dye reactions after immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence staining of cell smears, frozen sections and paraffin sections. |
