Product Name Urine Specimen Diluent, Preservative-Free
Catalog No. ATRD-0009
Description A buffered saline diluent designed for the dilution of human urine specimens prior to immunoassay, biochemical, and drug screening analysis, compensating for variable urine concentration between specimens.
Intended Use Normalizing urine concentration for quantitative measurement of urinary biomarkers, hormones, metabolites, and drugs of abuse in clinical chemistry and immunoassay platforms.
Principle / Technology Phosphate buffered saline provides consistent pH and ionic conditions; BSA serves as carrier protein to reduce analyte loss to container walls; creatinine normalization may be applied to corrected values.
Detection Method Creatinine normalization, assay parallelism with serial dilutions
Sample Type Random urine, first morning void, 24-hour urine collection specimens
Performance Range / Specifications Parallelism 80–120% across 10-fold dilution range for most urine analytes
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity N/A
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dilute urine 1:2 to 1:100 as required for specific assay dynamic range; vortex after dilution.
Components / Formulation PBS pH 7.4, BSA 1%, sodium azide 0.05%
Storage Conditions 2–8°C
Shelf Life 12 months
Package Specifications 100 mL, 500 mL
Product Form Liquid, ready to use
Quality Control Creatinine recovery, preservative efficacy, lot-to-lot consistency in assay background
Key Features Preservative free option available; ready to use; validated for urine chemistry and immunoassay panels; minimizes matrix effects
