Product Name Recombinant Rhesus Macaque Microtubule-Associated Protein Tau (MAPT), Active
Catalog No. PTR-HMM-0272
Description An active recombinant rhesus macaque tau protein representing residues 2-459 of the mature protein, expressed in mammalian cells with an N-terminal 10xHis tag. The purified protein demonstrates antibody-binding activity in a functional ELISA.
Intended Use Suitable for tau antibody development, functional ELISA, neurodegeneration research, microtubule-associated protein studies, and non-human primate model research.
Principle / Technology The mature rhesus macaque MAPT sequence is expressed in mammalian cells, purified, and evaluated for antibody-binding activity by functional ELISA.
Detection Method SDS-PAGE; functional ELISA; LAL assay
Sample Type Purified recombinant protein
Performance Range / Specifications Purity: >=95% by SDS-PAGE. EC50: 2.464-3.979 ng/mL. Molecular weight: 50.6 kDa. Package sizes: 10 ug; 20 ug; 50 ug; 100 ug; 200 ug; 500 ug; 1 mg.
Sensitivity / LOD EC50: 2.464-3.979 ng/mL.
Specificity Binding activity was demonstrated with a MAPT-specific recombinant antibody.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Immobilize rhesus macaque MAPT at 2 ug/mL and measure binding to a MAPT-specific recombinant antibody by functional ELISA.
