| Product Name | Recombinant Protein G Sepharose Fast Flow Resin |
| Catalog No. | PTR-HMM-0086 |
| Description | A chromatography resin composed of recombinant Protein G ligand covalently coupled to cross-linked 4% agarose beads. This high-flow resin is designed for high-throughput antibody purification from cell culture harvest and biological fluids. Recombinant Protein G binds strongly to the Fc region of IgG from a broad range of mammalian species. The resin is supplied as a 50% slurry in 20% ethanol for direct packing into columns of any size. |
| Intended Use | Affinity capture of IgG antibodies from complex biological mixtures for laboratory-scale and pilot-scale purification. |
| Principle / Technology | Affinity chromatography with immobilized recombinant streptococcal Protein G |
| Detection Method | UV absorbance monitoring at 280 nm |
| Sample Type | Cell culture supernatant, serum, ascites, or partially purified antibody fractions |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Dynamic binding capacity: ≥25 mg human IgG per mL resin at 150 cm/hr linear flow; flow rate range: 50–400 cm/hr |
| Sensitivity / LOD | Purity of eluted IgG: ≥95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and size-exclusion HPLC |
| Specificity | Binds IgG1–IgG4 subclasses; strong affinity for rabbit, goat, sheep, cow, and horse IgG; weaker binding to mouse IgG1 compared to Protein A |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Equilibration in 20 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0; load sample at 1–3 min residence time; wash with 10 CV equilibration buffer; elute with 0.1 M glycine-HCl, pH 2.7 |
