Description A fluorescence-based assay kit designed for the selective and sensitive quantification of RNA in dilute samples. The kit uses an RNA-selective fluorogenic dye that minimizes interference from DNA, free nucleotides, proteins, and other common contaminants found in nucleic acid preparations.
Intended Use Accurate quantitation of RNA for cDNA synthesis normalization, RT-qPCR template preparation, RNA-seq library construction, microarray labeling, and other applications requiring precise RNA input amounts.
Principle / Technology An RNA-selective fluorescent dye specifically binds to RNA molecules, producing a strong fluorescence signal proportional to RNA concentration. The dye exhibits low affinity for double-stranded DNA and is unaffected by free nucleotides or proteins, ensuring that only RNA contributes to the measured fluorescence signal.
Detection Method Fluorescence measurement using a dedicated fluorometer (excitation: 635–645 nm, emission: 670–680 nm for red-channel instrument); automated concentration calculation using two-point standard curve
