Product Name HRP-Conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody
Catalog No. PTR-HMM-0065
Description A horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated goat polyclonal secondary antibody specific for mouse IgG heavy and light chains. This reagent is optimized for Western blot, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry detection applications.
Intended Use Detection of mouse primary antibodies in immunoassays including Western blotting, direct and indirect ELISA, and immunohistochemical staining of tissue sections.
Principle / Technology Goat-derived polyclonal antibodies raised against mouse IgG heavy and light chains, affinity-purified and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase for enzymatic signal amplification.
Detection Method Colorimetric, chemiluminescent, or fluorescent detection depending on HRP substrate selection
Sample Type Mouse primary antibodies bound to target antigens in membrane, microplate, or tissue section formats
Performance Range / Specifications Recommended working dilution: 1:5,000–1:50,000 for Western blot; 1:10,000–1:100,000 for ELISA; titer should be optimized per application
Sensitivity / LOD Detection of primary antibody at concentrations as low as 1 ng/mL depending on substrate sensitivity and primary antibody affinity
Specificity Reacts with mouse IgG heavy and light chains; exhibits cross-adsorption against human, bovine, and horse serum proteins to minimize non-specific binding
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dilute antibody in appropriate blocking buffer, incubate with sample for 1 hour at room temperature (or overnight at 4°C), wash extensively, detect with HRP substrate
Components / Formulation Purified HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L) antibody at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 50% glycerol, 0.1% BSA as stabilizer, 0.01% thimerosal preservative
Storage Conditions -20°C for long-term storage; 2–8°C for short-term working aliquots (up to 4 weeks); avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles
Shelf Life 24 months from date of manufacture
Package Specifications 1 mg (1 mL at 1 mg/mL)
Product Form Liquid antibody-glycerol solution
Quality Control Each lot tested by direct ELISA for minimum titer (≥1:100,000 dilution producing OD >1.0); Western blot validation with standard protein lysates; HRP enzyme activity verified (>200 U/mg)
Key Features Affinity-purified for minimal background; cross-adsorbed against multiple species for reduced cross-reactivity; HRP conjugation provides versatile detection with multiple substrate options
