| Product Name | Biuret Method Protein Content Assay Reagent (Microplate Reader) |
| Catalog No. | PTR-HMM-0034 |
| Description | The bicinchoninic acid (BCA) protein assay is a commonly used method for colorimetric detection and total protein quantification, characterized by its simplicity, good reproducibility, good linearity, and stable reagents. |
| Application | Proteins can form a purple complex with the biuret reagent in strongly alkaline solutions, with the product exhibiting a characteristic absorption peak at 540 nm. The protein content can be quantitatively detected by measuring changes in absorbance. |
| Applicable Instruments | Microplate Reader |
| Number of Testable Samples | 100 Samples |
| Matching | 96-well plate |
| Detection Time | 4 h (100 Samples) |
| Detection Method | Biuret |
| Spectral Parameters | 540 nm |
| Signal Response | Incremental |
| Standard | BSA |
| Reference Standards | y=0.0213x-0.002 (R2=0.9995) |
| Standard Linear Range | 0.5-10 mg/mL |
| Detection Limit | 0.5 mg/mL |
| Notes | The protein concentration of the sample to be tested must be within the range of 0.5-10 mg/mL. For formal determination, 1-2 different samples should be taken for preliminary experiments to ensure that the protein concentration is within this range. If the concentration is below 0.5 mg/mL, this method cannot be used for determination. If the concentration is above 10 mg/mL or the absorbance value is greater than 0.4, the sample should be appropriately diluted with Extract Solution before determination, and the calculation should be modified accordingly. |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
