Product Name Animal Tissue Viability Assay Reagent (Toluidine Blue Method)
Catalog No. CATR-HMM-0032
Description Trypan blue is a tetrasulfated anionic hydrophilic dye commonly used to assess cell membrane integrity and cell viability. After treatment with this product, the activity of animal tissues can be compared and analyzed through visual inspection or microscopic photography. Highly active tissues, due to overall good cellular activity with only a small number of surface cells dying, appear colorless or with only a small area on the surface stained light blue after staining; whereas low-activity tissues, due to a larger number of cell deaths, appear blue-black or dark blue on the surface or even internally.
Application This product is based on the principle that live cells in tissues can exclude trypan blue, while dead cells with compromised cell membrane integrity can be stained by trypan blue, enabling a more intuitive detection of tissue activity in animals.
Storage Store at room temperature.
Shelf Life 1 year
Features This product can be dyed in just one minute and is very easy to use.
Notes This product is a sterile reagent and should be used in a laminar flow hood to prevent bacterial contamination. This product has been optimized and typically does not form precipitates under room temperature storage conditions. However, if stored for an extended period or at low temperatures, a small amount of particulate precipitation may occur. The precipitate can be fully dissolved by incubating in a 37°C water bath for approximately 10 minutes. Once the precipitate is completely dissolved, the product can be used normally. This product contains trypan blue, which is toxic to humans. Handle with extreme caution and ensure proper protective measures are taken to avoid direct contact with the skin or inhalation.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
