Product Name Animal Cell Viability/Toxicity Assay Reagent (Calcein AM, PI)
Catalog No. CATR-HMM-0004
Description This product can be used with fluorescence microscopes, flow cytometers, microplate readers, and other fluorescence detection systems. It is applicable to most eukaryotic mammalian cells, including certain tissues with adherent cell nuclei, but is not suitable for fungi and yeast.
Application This product is used to detect the life or death of animal cells. The two probes can reflect cell viability by measuring intracellular esterase activity and plasma membrane integrity, respectively.
Spectral Parameters Calcein AM: Ex/Em = 494/517 nm, PI: Ex/Em = 535/617 nm (DNA-bound)
Applicable Instruments Fluorescence microscope, flow cytometer
Storage Store at -20°C away from light.
Features Good stability: Fluorescent staining has strong fluorescence brightness and good anti-quenching properties. Small batch-to-batch variation: The fluorescent pigment is developed in-house by the company, and batch-to-batch variation is well controlled. Safe and sensitive: Compared with trypan blue, which has the same effect, it is faster, safer, and more sensitive.
Notes 1. Before use, centrifuge the product briefly to the bottom of the tube, then proceed with subsequent experiments. 2. Phenol red or serum may interfere with the detection of this kit. 3. Fluorescent dyes are susceptible to quenching. During experiments, please take care to avoid exposure to light to slow down fluorescence quenching.

For research use only, not for clinical use.
