| Product Name | 0.4% Trypan Blue Solution |
| Catalog No. | CATR-HMM-0023 |
| Description | Trypan Blue, an azo, hydrophilic acidic blue dye, can penetrate the cell membranes of dead and dying cells, staining them blue. Live cells, due to the integrity of their cell membranes, exclude Trypan Blue, allowing live cells (transparent and colorless) to be distinguished from dead cells based on color changes. This principle makes the product widely used for routine assessment of cell viability. Trypan Blue can also stain collagen and amyloid proteins. The complex formed by Trypan Blue binding to proteins emits red fluorescence. Additionally, Trypan Blue (at appropriate concentrations) is commonly used to quench autofluorescence or other fluorescent signals on the cell surface. |
| Application | This product is widely used for routine assessment of cell activity levels. |
| Applicable Instruments | Fluorescence microscope |
