Product Name Western Blot Transfer Buffer, Tris-Glycine, 10x
Catalog No. ATR-B-YJL-0177
Description A ten-fold concentrated Tris-glycine transfer buffer with methanol addition required before use, optimized for electrophoretic transfer of proteins from SDS-PAGE gels to membrane supports.
Intended Use Tank transfer of proteins from polyacrylamide gels to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes in Western blotting workflows.
Principle / Technology Tris-glycine provides ionic conductivity for protein migration; methanol (added by user) enhances protein binding to membranes and reduces gel swelling.
Detection Method Western blot protein transfer verification with pre-stained markers, Ponceau S total protein staining
Sample Type Proteins separated by SDS-PAGE, native PAGE, or IEF gels
Performance Range / Specifications Transfer efficiency >80% for proteins 10–200 kDa at 100 V for 60 minutes
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity N/A
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dilute 1:10 with water and add methanol to 20% v/v final concentration; pre-chill buffer; transfer at 100 V for 60 min or 30 V overnight.
Components / Formulation Tris base 250 mM, glycine 1.92 M at 10x concentration; methanol added at time of use
Storage Conditions 15–30°C
Shelf Life 24 months
Package Specifications 1 L, 4 L
Product Form Liquid concentrate (10x), methanol not included
Quality Control Conductivity and pH verification, transfer efficiency testing with standard protein ladder
Key Features Standard Towbin transfer system; compatible with wet tank and semi-dry transfer; leaves methanol addition to user for flexibility

For research use only, not for clinical use.
