| Description | Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase based kit that detects apoptosis through the DNA strand breaks characteristic of late-stage programmed cell death. The TdT enzyme incorporates labeled nucleotides at free 3-hydroxyl ends of fragmented DNA, so apoptotic nuclei are tagged in situ in a 50-test format. Unlike Annexin V assays that capture early surface changes, TUNEL reports the nuclear events of later apoptosis and can be read on tissue sections as well as cell preparations. Store at -20 °C; shelf life is 24 months. |
