Description A ten-fold concentrated Tris-Borate-EDTA buffer for agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA and RNA, providing high buffering capacity for extended run times at high voltage.
Intended Use Electrophoresis running buffer for separation of DNA fragments and RNA in agarose gels, suitable for analytical and preparative DNA gel applications.
Principle / Technology Boric acid provides buffering capacity; EDTA chelates divalent cations to inhibit nuclease activity; borate ions form complexes with cis-diol groups in sugars.
