Because it contains no serum proteins or gelatin-type additives, the diluent contributes no foreign protein to assay wells and keeps the formulation composition fully known, an advantage for reagent inventory control and for assays sensitive to carrier-protein interference. Peroxidase activity and conjugate binding capacity are retained through repeated refrigerated storage cycles. |
