Product Name Mouse Tissue Lysis Component (for Direct PCR)
Catalog No. RESK-0060
Description The Mouse Tissue Lysis Component provides a powerful lysis buffer system that rapidly lyses mouse samples, such as tail, ear, toe, and muscle, to release genomic DNA. The resulting lysate can be added directly to a PCR reaction without further purification, making genotyping workflows fast and convenient. Sample input requirements are low: as little as 5 mg of mouse tissue or a 1-5 mm piece of mouse tail is sufficient. This component is the lysis module of the Mouse Tissue Direct PCR Kit, and lysates prepared with it deliver optimal amplification performance when paired with the 2x Mouse Direct PCR Mix from that kit or with the 2x HotStart PCR Genotyping Master Mix (With Dye).
Intended Use For rapid lysis of mouse tissues (tail, ear, toe, muscle, etc.) and release of genomic DNA for direct PCR amplification without purification, e.g., in mouse genotyping workflows.
Principle / Technology A high-strength lysis buffer rapidly disrupts mouse tissue samples and releases genomic DNA. The crude lysate is compatible with direct PCR amplification when combined with an inhibitor-tolerant 2x mouse direct PCR or genotyping master mix.
Sample Type Mouse tissues such as tail, ear, toe, and muscle; as little as 5 mg of mouse tissue or a 1-5 mm mouse tail segment per test.
Performance Range / Specifications Low sample input requirement: 5 mg of mouse tissue or 1-5 mm of mouse tail per reaction.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Lyse the mouse tissue sample (5 mg tissue or 1-5 mm tail) in the lysis buffer to release genomic DNA, then add the lysate directly to the PCR reaction. For best results, combine the lysate with the 2x Mouse Direct PCR Mix or the 2x HotStart PCR Genotyping Master Mix (With Dye).
