Description A ready-to-use 2× PCR mix formulated for fast Taq-based amplification. The premix combines the amplification reagents with electrophoresis buffer and green loading dye, allowing PCR products to be loaded directly onto a gel after cycling.
Intended Use Rapid PCR, colony PCR and genotyping.
Principle / Technology Fast Taq DNA polymerase amplification in a 2× premixed format containing electrophoresis buffer and green loading dye.
Detection Method Endpoint PCR followed by direct agarose gel electrophoresis.
Sample Type Human genomic DNA, human cDNA, mouse genomic DNA, wheat genomic DNA, rice genomic DNA, bacterial cultures, bacterial colonies and lambda DNA.
Performance Range / Specifications Typical extension speed is 15 sec/kb; fragments up to 1 kb can be amplified at 1 sec/kb. Demonstrated with 1–3.3 kb targets.
Specificity Designed to provide strong specificity and high amplification yield.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Add primers and template directly to the premix. No ice setup is required. Use an extension time of 15 sec/kb; for targets up to 1 kb, 1 sec/kb may be used.
Components / Formulation 2× rapid Taq PCR master mix containing Taq DNA polymerase, dNTPs, optimized PCR buffer, electrophoresis buffer and green loading dye.
Storage Conditions Store at −20°C. After thawing, the product may be kept at 4°C for up to 3 months.
