Description A long-range DNA polymerase system combining Taq activity and a proofreading component, supplied with magnesium-containing buffer and a PCR enhancer for difficult high-GC targets.
Intended Use Long-range PCR, amplification of variable-length templates and high-GC PCR.
Principle / Technology Taq DNA polymerase blended with a 3′→5′ exonuclease-containing protein and optimized for long-range amplification.
Detection Method Endpoint PCR followed by gel electrophoresis.
Sample Type Human, rice, soybean and cotton genomic DNA; bacterial colonies; high-GC templates.
Performance Range / Specifications Demonstrated amplification of 3.6–21.0 kb genomic targets with GC contents from 27% to 78%.
Sensitivity / LOD Demonstrated amplification of 11.5 kb and 17.2 kb targets from 0.5–500 ng cotton genomic DNA.
Specificity Reported fidelity is approximately sixfold higher than standard Taq DNA polymerase.
