Assay Principle Leucine arylamidase (LAP) is an enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes peptides containing N-terminal leucine residues. It is abundantly expressed in various tissues—particularly the liver, as well as the kidney and pancreas. The assay principle involves the enzymatic cleavage of the substrate L-Leucine-p-nitroanilide, releasing p-nitroaniline, which exhibits strong absorbance at 405 nm. The activity of LAP is determined by monitoring the rate of increase in absorbance at this wavelength, providing a direct and quantitative measure of enzymatic activity.
Product Introduction The kit offers a robust and sensitive method for quantitatively determining LAP enzyme activity in various biological samples.
Product Application For quantification of LAP activity in liver and kidney function studies, disease modeling, and biochemical research.
Product Advantages • High Sensitivity: Accurately detects low-abundance LAP activity
• Tissue-Specific Relevance: Optimized for samples from liver, kidney, pancreas, and other tissues
• Ready-to-Use: Includes pre-formulated buffer and substrate for simplified workflow
• Reproducible Results: Delivers high inter-assay consistency with minimal variability

For research use only, not for clinical use.
