| Description | Citrate buffer is the most widely used antigen retrieval solution, and this improved formulation goes beyond the conventional reagent for specimens fixed with paraformaldehyde, formaldehyde or other aldehyde agents. Heat induced retrieval in this buffer reverses the protein crosslinks those fixatives create, exposing masked epitopes so immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining gains signal intensity while background stays controlled. The 50x concentrate saves cold storage space and dilutes straight into working solution. |
