| Description | Dual-fluorochrome kit that stages cell status by flow cytometry in a 100-test format. Hoechst 33258 crosses the membranes of living cells, binds DNA and emits blue under ultraviolet excitation at low cytotoxicity, while PI colors only membrane-compromised dead cells red. On the scatter plot normal cells sit in the low blue, low red region, apoptotic cells in high blue with low red, and necrotic cells in low blue with high red, allowing all three states to be separated in one acquisition. Store at -20 °C protected from light; shelf life is 12 months. |
