| Description | Ready-to-use sterile Earle's balanced salt solution supplied at 1x working strength, formulated without calcium ions, magnesium ions, glucose or phenol red and adjusted to pH 7.4. The formulation combines potassium chloride, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and sodium hydrogen phosphate and is sterilised before filling. Washing of cultured cells is the primary application, with neuronal cultures a typical beneficiary. The liquid format removes dissolution and sterile filtration from the workflow. Unopened bottles keep for 6 months at 2-8°C. |
