| Description | Powdered Earle balanced salt solution at 1x working strength, combining the calcium, magnesium and glucose of the standard EBSS formulation with phenol red so pH drift is visible during use. The formulation suits rinsing of cultured cells, particularly neural preparations, and the blend of potassium chloride, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, disodium hydrogen phosphate and phenol red holds physiological conditions. Dissolve in water and filter-sterilise; autoclaving is not permitted. |
