| Description | Powdered D-Hanks balanced salt solution, also known as CMF-HBSS, formulated at 1x working strength with phenol red indicator. The calcium-free and magnesium-free Hanks formulation suspends and washes cells without triggering calcium-dependent clumping or adhesion, and the phenol red lets operators confirm pH at a glance. The blend contains potassium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and phenol red. Dissolve the powder in water; sterilise the solution by filtration rather than autoclaving, and keep it sealed. |
