Product Name Blocking Buffer, BSA-Based, 1% Solution
Catalog No. ATR-B-YJL-0170
Description A bovine serum albumin-based blocking solution formulated to reduce non-specific protein binding in immunoassays, Western blotting, and ELISA procedures.
Intended Use Reducing background signal in plate-based immunoassays, membrane-based protein detection, and immunohistochemical staining by saturating non-specific binding sites.
Principle / Technology High concentration of BSA occupies uncoated surfaces, preventing non-specific adsorption of detection antibodies and reporter conjugates.
Detection Method ELISA optical density measurement, Western blot background evaluation
Sample Type ELISA plates, nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes, tissue sections
Performance Range / Specifications Background reduction >90% compared to unblocked controls
Sensitivity / LOD N/A
Specificity Broad blocking of hydrophobic and non-specific protein binding
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Apply to wells or membrane for 1 hour at room temperature or overnight at 4°C; wash after blocking.
Components / Formulation Bovine serum albumin (Fraction V, IgG-free) at 1% w/v in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative
Storage Conditions 2–8°C
Shelf Life 12 months after opening
Package Specifications 100 mL, 500 mL
Product Form Liquid, ready to use
Quality Control Protein concentration verification, IgG contamination <0.1 ng/mL, lot-to-lot ELISA background comparison
Key Features IgG-free BSA source; ready to use; preservative included for extended shelf life; validated for ELISA and Western blot

For research use only, not for clinical use.
