| Description | Dual-fluorescence kit that discriminates live and dead cells during apoptosis assessment. Acridine orange crosses intact membranes and stains nuclear DNA bright green, while ethidium bromide enters only cells with damaged membranes and gives an orange to red signal, so viable, early apoptotic and late apoptotic populations can be told apart under the microscope. The kit contains the acridine orange and ethidium bromide staining solutions as a matched pair. Store at 2-8 °C away from light; it keeps for 6 months. |
