Description Alta DiagnoTech NHS-activated magnetic media couple proteins, antibodies, enzymes, peptides and nucleic acids through stable amide bonds under mild conditions.
Intended Use Covalent immobilization of primary-amine biomolecules for assays, capture, immunoprecipitation and purification.
Principle / Technology Surface NHS groups react directly with primary amines to form stable amide bonds without separate EDC/NHS or glutaraldehyde activation.
Sample Type Primary-amine-containing proteins, antibodies, antigens, enzymes, peptides and nucleic acids
Performance Range / Specifications Ligand-coupling efficiency can reach at least 90%. Coupling is completed in 1-2 hours at room temperature or 4 °C over pH 5-9.
Reaction Conditions / Protocol Dissolve the amine-containing ligand in coupling buffer and mix with the NHS beads for 1-2 hours at room temperature; 4 °C coupling is also supported. Recommended coupling pH is 5-9.
Package Specifications 2 µm polymer beads at 10 mg/mL: 1 or 5 mL kits and 50 mL bulk format; 10-30 µm agarose beads at 20% v/v: 1 or 5 mL kits and 50 or 1,000 mL bulk formats; 30-150 µm agarose beads at 20% v/v: 1, 5, 50 or 1,000 mL; 300 nm polymer beads at 10 mg/mL: 1 or 10 mL.
