| Description | Total prostate-specific antigen (t-PSA) is a 32KD single-chain glycoprotein secreted by prostate epithelial cells. It is a serine protease similar to chymotrypsin. Under normal circumstances, PSA secretes into semen and plays a physiological role in the division of seminal vesicles and the liquefaction of semen. Under normal circumstances, only extremely low levels of PSA exist in the blood. An increase in PSA concentration in the serum indicates pathological changes or trauma to the prostate. The PSA level is elevated in the vast majority of prostate cancer patients. This kit is used for the auxiliary diagnosis of prostate patients, therapeutic effect evaluation and dynamic monitoring of disease progression. |
