| Description | Extending the fractionation workflow to tissue samples, this kit isolates mitochondria quickly enough to preserve their physiology while simultaneously delivering the mitochondria-depleted cytosolic fraction. Intact inner and outer membranes survive in most recovered organelles, so membrane potential assays remain on the menu, and the cytosolic side supports tracking of cytochrome c release in apoptotic studies. Protein from either fraction feeds SDS-PAGE, Western blotting and 2D electrophoresis without further cleanup. |
