| Product Introduction | Soil amylase, primarily derived from soil microorganisms, belongs to a class of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of starch. This enzymatic reaction generates reducing sugars, which react with 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) to form a reddish-brown product. The intensity of this colorimetric product, measured by its absorbance at 540 nm, exhibits a linear relationship with the amount of reducing sugars produced within a defined concentration range, allowing quantitative assessment of amylase activity. |
| Product Application | For precise measurement of amylase activity in soil samples to evaluate microbial decomposition capacity and soil health in environmental and agricultural research. |
| Product Advantages | • Soil-Specific Design: Specifically optimized for soil matrices, effectively overcoming common sample interference challenges • High Sensitivity: Capable of detecting low levels of amylase activity even in nutrient-deficient soils • Excellent Reproducibility: Delivers consistent results with low intra- and inter-assay variation • Broad Compatibility: Validated for various soil types including agricultural, forest, and contaminated soils |
For research use only, not for clinical use.
