Description Serum light chain is an important component of human immunoglobulin and is divided into two types: kappa type and lambda type. The detection of serum light chain can be used for the diagnosis, classification and later disease monitoring of multiple myeloma.
Application This product is a latex particle enhanced immunoturbidimetric detection kit used for the quantitative determination of κ free light chain (FLC) concentration in serum on a validated analyzer. The combined detection of κ FLC and Lambda FLC is helpful for the diagnosis and monitoring of multiple myeloma.

Detection Principle The Human κ Free Light Chain (κ FLC) detection kit is based on latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetry. The κ FLC in the sample binds to the specific anti-κ FLC antibody coated on the latex particles and causes agglutination. The turbidity caused by agglomeration can be measured by optical methods and is directly proportional to the content of κ FLC in the sample.
