Product Name Free Prostate-Specific Antigen (F-PSA) Assay Reagent, Magnetic Particle Based Chemiluminescent Immunoassay
Catalog No. TMTR-HMM-0023
Description Free prostate-specific antigen (F-PSA) is a single-chain glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 34,000 secreted by prostate epithelial cells and is a serine proteolytic enzyme. Approximately 80% of the serum free prostate-specific antigen (F-PSA) combines with some protease inhibitors in the serum to form complex (cPSA), while 20% of the PSA exists in an unbound form and is called free PSA (F-PSA). When the total PSA level increases at a low level during prostate cancer screening and detection, the F-PSA level does not increase proportionally, and the F-PSA/PSA ratio is less than 1/10, significantly increasing the probability of a confirmed prostate cancer diagnosis. In prostate cancer, the normal structure of the glandular ducts is damaged, and an increase in PSA content in the serum can be observed. The ratio of F-PSA to PSA is mainly used for the differential diagnosis of benign prostate diseases and prostate cancer. This kit is used for the auxiliary diagnosis, therapeutic effect evaluation and dynamic monitoring of disease progression in patients with prostate diseases.
Application This product is used for the in vitro quantitative detection of the content of free prostate-specific antigen (F-PSA) in human serum.
