| Product Name | Cytokeratin 19 Fragment (CYFRA21-1) Assay Reagent, Magnetic Particle Based Chemiluminescent Immunoassay |
| Catalog No. | TMTR-HMM-0016 |
| Description | Cytokeratin is a structural protein of epithelial cells. So far, 20 different types of cytokeratin have been discovered. Due to their special distribution pattern, cytokeratin has now become a classification indicator in tumor pathology research. Complete cytokeratin peptides are difficult to dissolve, but dissolved fragments can be detected in serum. Occasionally, a slight increase in CYFRA21-1 is observed in patients with benign liver diseases and renal failure. CYFRA21-1 is mainly used to monitor the course of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A significant increase in CYFRA21-1 levels in the blood indicates that the tumor is at an advanced stage or has a poor prognosis. |
