| Description | Ph chromosome or BCR/ABL1 b2a2 and b3a2 phenotypes have become the main diagnostic criteria for CML, with ela2 predominantly seen in ALL. The b3a2 type is found in 55% of CML cases and b2a2 in 40%. In 5% of cases both b3a2 and b2a2 type spliceosomes are present. In addition, the BCR/ABL1 fusion gene type e19a2 is present in a very small number of Ph+ CML patients, the BCR/ABL1 fusion gene is type P210 in 30-50% of adult Ph+ ALL, 20-30% of pediatric Ph+ ALL cases, and in 60% of Ph+ ALL patients the BCR/ABL1 fusion gene is type P190. |
