| Product Name | Anti-Myc Tag Affinity Purification Gel |
| Catalog No. | IVDRM-0289 |
| Description | Cross-linked 4B-type agarose gel covalently coupled with a Protein A-purified mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody (clone 9E10) specific for the Myc epitope, at approximately 8.5 g of antibody per litre of gel. Load capacity reaches at least 0.9 mg of fusion protein per millilitre of gel with minimal non-specific carryover, making the gel suitable for immunoprecipitation as well as small-scale purification of Myc-tagged constructs. |
| Intended Use | Immunoprecipitation and affinity purification of Myc-tagged fusion proteins from cell or tissue lysates. |
| Principle / Technology | The immobilised 9E10 antibody binds the Myc epitope; after washing, the tagged protein is recovered by low-pH or competitive elution. |
| Detection Method | Myc epitope tag |
| Sample Type | Clarified lysates; use about 5 microlitres of gel per 500 microlitres of crude extract |
| Performance Range / Specifications | Binding capacity of at least 0.9 mg protein per mL of gel; antibody density 8.5 g/L of gel |
| Specificity | Myc-tag selective via monoclonal clone 9E10; little non-specific protein binding |
| Reaction Conditions / Protocol | Equilibrate the gel, add it to the lysate and incubate with rotation, collect by centrifugation or filtration, wash away background and elute the target under the chosen conditions. |
| Components / Formulation | Gel suspension in phosphate-glycerol preservation buffer |
| Storage Conditions | -20 °C for one year; do not freeze in solutions lacking glycerol |
| Shelf Life | 12 months at -20 °C |
| Package Specifications | 1 mL, 5 mL, 25 mL and 100 mL packs |
| Product Form | Agarose gel slurry in 50% glycerol buffer |
| Quality Control | Each lot checked for antibody loading, coupling quality and binding capacity |
| Key Features | Clone 9E10, a widely characterised anti-Myc ligand; covalent coupling that limits antibody leaching; glycerol-protected storage; double duty in IP and preparative purification |
| Purity | Antibody ligand purified on Protein A |
| Concentration | 8.5 g antibody per litre of gel; supplied as a 1:1 suspension |
| Activity / Unit Definition | At least 0.9 mg Myc-tagged fusion protein bound per mL of gel |
| Source / Origin | Mouse monoclonal IgG1 (clone 9E10) on cross-linked agarose |
| pH Range / Optimal pH | pH 7.4 storage formulation |
| Shipping Conditions | Ice pack |
| Expiration Date / Stability | One year at -20 °C |
| Regulatory / Compliance | Research-use raw material |
| Compatibility | Tolerates standard IP wash buffers and mild detergents; retain glycerol during freezer storage |
| Recommended Buffer System | 10 mM sodium phosphate, 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, pH 7.4, with 0.02% sodium azide |
| Application Notes / Precautions | Avoid glycerol-free freezing; resuspend fully before dispensing; avoid prolonged exposure to low pH outside elution steps. |
| Batch-to-Batch Consistency | Lot-traceable via the container label |
| Model Type | Antibody-coupled agarose affinity gel |
| Starting Material / Tissue Site | Crude or clarified lysates containing Myc-tagged recombinant proteins |
| Delivery Standard | Delivered as a 1:1 gel suspension; stated size is settled gel volume |
| Readouts / Downstream Assays | Immunoblotting of eluates; protein-interaction studies by Co-IP |
For in vitro diagnostic use.
