In the fields of molecular biology research, clinical diagnostics, and biomedical development, high-quality RNA extraction from blood samples is a critical foundational step. Blood, as a complex biological matrix containing various components such as red blood cells, white blood cells, proteins, and anticoagulants, poses unique challenges to RNA isolation—including RNA degradation by endogenous RNases, interference from hemoglobin, and the need to preserve RNA integrity while removing impurities.
Traditional blood RNA extraction methods often rely on organic solvent extraction or column-based purification, which are not only time-consuming (involving multiple centrifugation and lysis steps) but also carry risks of cross-contamination and low recovery rates. Additionally, these methods typically require manual operation, making them unsuitable for high-throughput laboratory workflows or clinical testing scenarios that demand consistency and efficiency.
With the advancement of automation and magnetic bead technology, there has been a growing demand for extraction solutions that combine speed, reliability, and compatibility with automated platforms. Magnetic bead-based RNA extraction leverages the specific binding between nucleic acids and superparamagnetic microspheres under optimized buffer conditions, enabling efficient separation of RNA from contaminants without the need for harsh organic solvents. This technology addresses the limitations of traditional methods, meeting the needs of modern laboratories for high-throughput, standardized, and safe nucleic acid purification.
The Blood RNA Extraction Kit (10 rxns) is developed to address these industry needs. It integrates advanced magnetic bead technology and a streamlined workflow to provide a reliable solution for extracting high-quality RNA from anticoagulated fresh whole blood. Whether used in academic research (e.g., gene expression analysis, biomarker discovery) or clinical applications (e.g., viral load detection, disease diagnosis), this kit delivers consistent performance to support downstream experimental success.

Fully automated compatibility: Designed for seamless integration with mainstream automated nucleic acid extractors, enabling one-step, hands-free operation that reduces human error and improves workflow efficiency.
Simplified workflow: Eliminates the need for separate red blood cell lysis and heating steps, shortening the extraction process while maintaining RNA quality and yield.
Broad sample compatibility: Works with blood samples treated with various common anticoagulants (e.g., EDTA, heparin, citrate), providing flexibility for different laboratory sample collection protocols.
High safety profile: Formulated without irritating odor reagents or toxic organic solvents such as phenol and chloroform, ensuring a safe working environment for laboratory personnel and reducing environmental impact.
Large sample volume support: Accommodates sample volumes up to 2 mL, meeting the requirements of experiments that require higher RNA yields from limited or precious blood samples.
Versatile downstream applicability: The purified RNA maintains high integrity and purity, making it suitable for a wide range of downstream applications including RT-PCR, quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR), Northern Blot, Dot Blot, in vitro translation, and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq).

Exceptional RNA quality: Utilizes superparamagnetic microspheres with high nucleic acid binding capacity, ensuring efficient adsorption and elution of RNA while removing proteins, hemoglobin, and other impurities—resulting in RNA with high A260/A280 ratios (typically 1.8–2.0) and minimal degradation.
High elution efficiency: Optimized buffer system and magnetic bead surface modification maximize RNA recovery, delivering consistent yields that meet the requirements of sensitive downstream assays.
Time-saving performance: The streamlined workflow reduces total extraction time compared to traditional methods, enabling rapid processing of multiple samples (ideal for high-throughput laboratories or time-sensitive experiments).
Automation-friendly design: Compatible with popular automated platforms such as Kingfisher Flex96 and BeaverDevice Rosetta 24/32/96, supporting batch processing of samples and reducing labor costs.
Stable and reliable performance: Manufactured under strict quality control standards, with consistent component formulation and batch-to-batch reproducibility, ensuring reliable results across experiments.
Ready-to-use components: All necessary reagents (including magnetic bead suspension, lysis buffer, washing buffers, and elution buffer) are pre-measured and provided in convenient volumes, eliminating the need for time-consuming reagent preparation and reducing the risk of measurement errors.

For in vitro diagnostic use.
