How to Test

Control Solution 1.Wash hands with soap and water; dry thoroughly
2.Insert a test strip into the meter (printed side facing up, contact end toward the meter)
3.Press < to enter control solution testing mode; the control symbol 🔬 appears
4.Gently swirl and invert the control solution bottle; do not shake
5.Discard the first drop; wipe the bottle tip with a clean tissue
6.Squeeze one drop of control solution onto clean aluminum foil or plastic wrap
7.Touch the test strip tip to the control solution drop until the meter beeps
8.Check if the result falls within the range printed on the test strip vial
9.Press the eject button to discard the test strip into a trash container
Blood 1.Remove a test strip from the vial; close the vial cap immediately
2.Fully insert the test strip into the meter port (printed side facing up, contact end toward the meter)
3.Press > to mark as before-meal test, or press < to mark as after-meal test (optional)
4.Press the lancing device firmly against the fingertip; lance and allow a blood drop to form
5.Touch the test strip tip to the blood drop until the meter beeps; allow blood to be drawn into the reaction zone
6.Wait 5 seconds; the test result displays on the screen
7.Press the eject button to discard the test strip into a trash container
